Finally off the loom!

Well it has taken a while, but my first doubleweave project is finally done and I am pleased with the result. The biggest challenge was warping as I had too many threads on top of one another and could not get good tension on the warp threads. I ended up re-winding the warp and re-threading the heddles. Other than that, the weaving went smoothly even though I was pretty slow getting it done. (I really didn’t trust it so kept stopping!) The throw has some crowding at the selvedges (learning curve working with two layers) and three floats I need to fix, but i can live with that. I still need to do the hem and pull out the blue threads) and wet finish. I will post another pic then.
